Democracy the Pathway to Global Citizen

This book forms part of a series developed under the Prime Minister’s Scheme for Mentoring Young Authors-YUVA (Young, Upcoming and Versatile Authors). The Scheme envisages to train young authors of below 30 years to promote reading, writing and book culture in the country and also to project India and Indian writings globally. The first edition of the Scheme was launched during 2021-22 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence with National Book Trust, India as the Implementing Agency under the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav programme. Its second edition was launched in 2022. The books published under the second edition revolve around the Theme of Democracy with focus on various facets of Democracy in India encompassing the past, present and future. The Theme is specific to Democracy in Indian context only so as to give a fillip to research and documentation about various aspects of Indian democratic system.
